Learning to manage my fear of rejection

As a child I was heavily bullied and rejected… Although this happened years ago, it has impacted my adult life in many ways and it has taken me years to learn to manage my fear of rejection. In all honesty, I don’t think I will ever be completely over it. 😨

For years (and still now and again), I overthink most social interactions in fear of a negative outcome and I continue to be extremely sensitive to social cues so I am prepared for potential rejection. This has had an impact on my emotional and physical health. Over the years, I have learned that I can’t please everyone and that I am not for everyone. It’s been hard to accept and this is still something I continue to have to work on daily.
